Arvind: What excites me most is how insurtech is moving from experiments into real scaling, and how the industry has shifted from simple digitization to reimagining the insurance experience.

For Cogitate, we see the future unfolding in three key ways:

Agentic AI at the Core. We are enabling our platform with AI agents in underwriting workflows, claims management, and distribution. We’re also creating intelligent copilots that reduce friction, automate submissions, and enable low-touch, high-speed transactions.

DigitalEdge Expansion. We’re elevating the omni-channel user experience with instant quoting and straight-through processing. This helps our partners meet customers’ expectations for simplicity, speed, and transparency without sacrificing underwriting quality.

The Connected Ecosystem. We believe standalone systems are not the future. Instead, we are positioning Cogitate as the connective tissue of the insurance ecosystem by partnering with carriers, MGAs, data providers, and service providers. The goal is to create a unified and simplified user experience across the board.

Michael: What do you think customers benefit most from when working with Cogitate?

Arvind: Our biggest differentiator is our DNA. Cogitate is truly insurance technology by insurance people. Both Jacque and I have operated at carriers and MGAs, so we understand the challenges, opportunities, and pain points firsthand.

Michael: Let’s get more technical. How does Cogitate use technology to create real impact in the insurance industry?

Michael: It sounds like Cogitate’s mission goes beyond just growing the company or even its customers. Would you say it’s about driving change across the whole industry?

Arvind: Absolutely. We have a deep love for this industry, and we want to work with other solution providers who are elevating it. Insurance has historically been considered a laggard, but that’s changing.

Innovations like AI, OCR, and cloud technologies are opening new possibilities. But the real goal isn’t the tools themselves. Our focus is on the outcome: delivering a simplified, unified user experience across the insurance lifecycle.

Michael: I want to close with a curveball. You’ve been with Cogitate since the beginning. What do you think are the most essential traits for a Cogitate employee?

Arvind: That’s something we talk about often. For us, two traits stand out:

Continuous Improvement. We believe in being better today than we were yesterday. With 170 team members, if each person gets even a little better every day, then Cogitate as a whole grows stronger.

Customer-First Mindset. We’re in this for the long haul, and our priority is always to align with our customers’ vision. In any project, there may be challenges along the way, but if our customers achieve their goals, then Cogitate has succeeded.
